The Meaning of Our Name
The name ITARA Cove reflects the foundation of our business – family. The letters I, T, and A represent the initials of the women behind it, while “Tara” carries meanings across cultures, reflecting both our international background and shared values.
In Buddhist tradition, Tara is a symbol of compassion, protection, and guidance – qualities that inspire the way we care for every home. In Irish heritage, Tara refers to the Hill of Tara, a place associated with stability and strength, reflecting our commitment to reliability and trust. In German, Tara is the term used for the tare weight: the weight of a container without its contents. Focusing on what truly matters by removing the unnecessary, this is a philosophy that mirrors our commitment to transparent service and helping homeowners focus on what is most important.
“Cove” felt natural to us. It symbolizes a quiet place along the shore, representing safety, calm, and a sense of retreat – an environment where homes are protected and cared for with intention.
